What Ocean City does to a window
Ocean City is the saltiest glass on our Eastern Shore routes. Oceanfront condos from the Inlet to 146th Street take spray straight off the Atlantic on every east wind and dry a white film within a week of a cleaning, heaviest in a nor'easter when the spray carries clear across Coastal Highway to the bayside. On the bay side in Montego Bay, Caine Woods, Little Salisbury, Mallard Island and Sunset Island the haze comes off the Assawoman and Isle of Wight Bays instead, lighter but constant, and the boat traffic in the canals adds an exhaust film to anything facing the water.
The off-season is no break. Coastal Highway and the side streets are brined before every winter storm, and the spray off passing traffic dries into a white crust on the lower glass of homes near the road, and a northeast blow in January leaves salt and blowing sand on every pane facing the beach. Spring brings loblolly pine pollen off the mainland on a west wind, and the summer rental turnover means sliders and balcony glass get handled every week and never see a proper cleaning. Blowing sand scratches the lower panes on windy afternoons year-round.
Most Ocean City homes and condos do best on an every-two-months plan, and oceanfront glass often wants monthly in the windy months. Rental owners usually have us on a set day between guests, with the inside glass done once a year. We work the island year-round on any mild day, and in the off-season the parking and the elevators are a lot easier.

How often should windows be cleaned in Ocean City?
Every two months for most Ocean City homes and condos, and monthly for oceanfront glass in the windy months. Bayside homes in Caine Woods, Montego Bay and Little Salisbury sometimes stretch to quarterly in summer. Most people have the inside glass done once a year.
Do you work in the gated communities?
Yes. We work in Sunset Island and Heron Harbour, and in the oceanfront and bayfront condo buildings from the Inlet to 146th Street with front-desk or fob access. Just add us to your gate list or tell us the procedure when you book.
Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
